    clean room

The room was clean and had the amenities you’d expect, but that’s where the positives stop. The bed was hard as a rock and the pillows didn’t offer any support at all.

It was not inexpensive by any means , and for what you get, it’s just not worth it.

    nice amenities
    ineffective air conditioning
    unpleasant odor

The bathroom was equipped with nice amenities.

My experience at Apa Hotel Sendai Eki Itsutsubashi was somewhat disappointing. The air conditioning in my room was ineffective and left the space uncomfortably warm throughout my stay. Additionally, there was a persistent unpleasant odor in the bathroom that was hard to ignore. Lastly, the staff seemed unapproachable at times, which affected my overall feeling of welcome during my time there.

public bath, convenient Family Mart, walkable distance from station

The distinct sewage odor permeating the lobby and 2nd floor is off-putting!!! The ice machine, microwave, and laundry facilities being locked away after midnight is frustrating for late-night needs!!! Room size felt cramped at times!!!

    Comfortable Stay with Convenient Amenities

I appreciated the cleanliness and the onsen experience, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. While the check-in process felt a bit rushed, the comfortable beds and proximity to local attractions made my stay enjoyable. Pro tip, utilize the laundry facilities before sightseeing to keep your clothes fresh!

    large window
    clean room
    elevator wait
    cramped hallways
    location inconvenience

A clean and tidy room featured an impressive large window, enhancing the overall ambiance, while the free breakfast offered a satisfactory start to the day. The onsen provided a refreshing escape after exploring the city. However, the location requires a 10-minute walk from the station, which might not be ideal for those carrying heavy luggage, and the narrow hallways felt cramped at times. Additionally, the hotel experience was affected by lengthy waits for elevators during peak hours.

    train noise

You'll find some delicious eats nearby, like Segafredo Zanetti Espresso just a skip away – perfect for that morning caffeine fix. Also, the onsen experience added a cherry on top to unwind after my daily culinary adventures. Plus, the hotel's clean, modern vibe gave an air of freshness.

The location can be a hike from Sendai Station, which might not be the best for heavy bags. I did catch a few train sounds sneaking in at times, but really, it just felt like the city was alive and breathing.

    comfortable bed
    good bathroom
    indoor outdoor baths
    small room
    old smell

The onsen provided a refreshing way to unwind after a long day. It had both indoor and outdoor baths, which enhanced the experience. The self check-in made arriving nice and smooth. The bed in my room was comfortable, and I appreciated having a good bathroom setup. However, the room felt a bit small for my liking at times. It was satisfactory for sleeping, but not much more. I encountered an old sock smell in my room. Keeping the window open helped a bit. While the public bath was a highlight, some areas in the hotel seemed dated and could use a thorough cleaning. Overall, a decent stay, but certainly some room for improvement.

I really enjoyed the cozy amenities, especially the onsen that was a perfect way to unwind after a long day, and the laundry machines that made it super convenient to refresh my clothes. It's awesome that the hotel offers both indoor and outdoor baths for some great relaxation options! I did notice the check-in process could be a bit tedious at times, but overall, it didn't take away from my stay. 😊
